The picture above is a screen shot of my email inbox showing 2o new leads generated in less than 24 hours.

This is what I call content for contact. Here is how it works.

  • Item of value. -> I create a business plan for real estate agents.
  • Content for traffic. -> I generate traffic to my website via blogging, inbound marketing and socialcruiting.
  • Lead conversion. -> In order to get access to my item of value they have to provide contact information.

I have now exchanged my content for their contact information, which now allows me continue to reach out to them, provide value and ask for a conversation. This is what Seth Godin would call Permission Marketing.

Permission marketing is the privilege (not the right) of delivering anticipated, personal and relevant messages to people who actually want to get them.

If you want to generate leads online, you can’t just provide information about your brokerage. You can’t just say you are cheaper, better, cooler, newer.

You have to provide value that the Realtor recruit wants and exchange it for their contact information.

You can’t just talk about how awesome you are and brag about the features of your brokerage. You have to demonstrate it.

Provide value.
